Polaris RZR 900 Bed Removal
Removing the bed on a Polaris RZR isn't a crucial maintenance or repair job, but it's a good thing to know how to do when certain situations call for it.
There are lots of things behind and underneath the bed you might need to access to complete other jobs, and the bed removal on a Polaris UTV is sometimes the first step in accessing other areas. Watch the video above and follow the steps below to remove the bed of a Polaris RZR 900.
Tools Needed - Polaris RZR 900XP Bed Removal
- Ratchet
- Phillips head bits for ratchet
- Impact driver
Removing the Polaris RZR Bed
Step 1. Remove the seats by pulling up on the lever of the back of each seat to unhook it, then tip each seat forward and lift it out.
Step 2. Remove the four bolts along the front of the bed after the seats are out.
Step 3. Remove the five bolts holding the plastics on each side of the RZR in place, but don't remove the plastics yet.
NOTE: The bed can be removed with these side pieces attached, but Polaris recommends removing them later on.
Step 4. Remove the access panel in the center of the bed. Next, remove the six bolts on the bed.
Step 5. Remove the eight bolts along the rear of the Polaris RZR.
Step 6. Remove the plastic fenders on the right and left sides of the vehicle.
Step 7. Lift the bed off of the machine and you're done.
NOTE: Depending on where you need to gain access, you can also remove the back plastic on the rear of the vehicle.
