Honda TRX90 Oil Change
Regular oil changes are essential for all vehicles, especially those with no oil filter, like a small TRX90 Honda ATV. The absence of an oil filter means replacing the oil often is the best way to protect the engine.

- 17mm socket

How to Change Honda TRX90 Engine Oil
Step 1. Run the engine for a minute to warm the oil, then shut it off and remove the dipstick so the crankcase can vent. This step helps the oil drain out faster.
Step 2. Position a drain pan beneath the engine, and remove the 17mm drain bolt and crush washer from the bottom of the crankcase.
Step 3. Reinstall the drain bolt and crush washer, and torque them to 17 foot-pounds.
NOTE: The crush washer should be replaced after every few oil changes, regardless of what condition it’s in.
Step 4. Refill the engine using a funnel and 0.75 quarts of 10W30 4-stroke motor oil.
Step 5. Reinstall the dipstick, then start the engine and run it for half a minute on idle to distribute the oil throughout the motor.
Step 6. Shut off the engine and let it sit for a minute so the oil can settle. Remove the dipstick, then wipe it clean and set it back into the crankcase without screwing it in. Next, remove the dipstick again to read the oil level.
Step 7. Top off the oil if necessary, then reinstall the dipstick and you’re done.
