Old ATV CVT Clutch Springs Effects Q&A

Greetings John. Do you know what the effects of old and wobbly springs are in an ATV’s CVT clutch, on both the primary and secondary clutch?

John Talley: It’s probably going to engage a little too quickly, because the springs are worn down. Or not as tight as they should be. The engagement would be very abrupt, to put it mildly. And the output of that, or the result of that would probably be worn belts, very quickly.
