Why Are My Kawasaki UTV Spark Plugs Wet?

Got a Mule 3000 Kawasaki side-by-side with soaked spark plugs? The problem may lie within the carburetor, specifically with the air-fuel mixture screw backing out of place.

Kawasaki Mule Side-by-Side Soaked Spark Plugs

I have a 3000 Kawasaki Mule and the spark plugs are very wet. I already checked the carburetor and it’s fine, but the problem continues. Any thoughts?

John Talley: I wish you would give me a little bit more information than that. Wet? Are they covered in oil or is it fuel? I’m assuming that it’s fuel, since you mentioned the carburetor, and what’s your definition of ‘fine’? Because if it’s soaking down the cylinder walls with too much fuel, making it run extremely rich, then not all is well. Probably the first place I would look on that particular carburetor is your air-fuel screw. Those have a tendency of backing out over time. The 3000 series Mules vibrate pretty heavily, and I’ve seen where it can overcome the screw or the spring and actually back out. So you might want to make sure that your air-fuel screw is up where it started, if it is indeed fuel that is making the spark plugs wet. So if you get this message, go in and see where it’s set and let us know if I was right.
