John Talley: Yamaha makes a spray type combustion chamber cleaner I’ve used before. It’s one that's exceptionally good from Yamaha’s Yamalube division, and this stuff's amazing. I was somewhat skeptical at first, but it works. I’ve actually used it to clean out the valve covers on my high-mileage car. It had a fair amount of oil deposits and sludge up there, and I’ve used it to spray it down and then it pretty much washed away just using regular parts cleaner. I’ve also used it just to clean up the carbon deposits on a piston that was already out of the machine and I couldn't believe it. I mean this stuff actually works as advertised, so that's the one I always recommend.
