Suzuki GSXR-750 Oil Change

- Ratchet and extension
- 17mm socket
- 6mm Allen
- Drain pan

How to Change the Oil in a Suzuki GSXR-750
Step 1. Position a drain pan under the engine.
Step 2. Remove the 17mm drain bolt and crush washer from the lower left side of the engine, and let the oil fully drain out.
Step 3. Install a new crush washer, then reinstall the drain bolt and torque it to 6.5 foot-pounds.
Step 4. Loosen the left side fairing to access the oil filter by removing the three snap rivets and the four 6mm Allen bolts.
Step 5. Remove the oil filter from the lower front of the engine using an oil filter wrench.
Step 6. Smear a film of engine oil on the new oil filter's rubber O-ring, then install the new oil filter and torque it to 13.5 foot-pounds.
Step 7. Clean any oil that dripped onto the exhaust pipe with contact/brake cleaner to prevent it from burning/smoking when you next run the motorcycle. Reinstall the left side fairing.
Step 8. Remove the oil fill cap from the right side crankcase cover, then fill the engine with 2.6 quarts of 10W-40 motorcycle oil and reinstall the oil fill cap.
Step 9. Start the engine, and let it idle for a few seconds to circulate the new oil within the engine.
Step 10. Shut off the engine, let it rest for a minute, then check the oil level through the oil sight glass on the right side of the engine.
NOTE: The oil level should be between the middle and upper part of the window. Top off the oil if necessary.
