How to Change Polaris Sportsman 110 Transmission Fluid
Changing the transmission fluid in a Polaris Sportsman 110 is an easy, yet often overlooked routine maintenance task essential to the health of the ATV’s drivetrain.

- 3/8th ratchet
- 14mm socket
- Torque wrench
Changing the Transmission Fluid on a Polaris Sportsman 110
Step 1. Remove the fill plug to make it easier for the transmission fluid to drain.
Step 2. Use a 14mm socket to remove the drain bolt, then let the transmission oil drain out.
NOTE: Make sure the crush washer that comes out with the bolt isn’t damaged. If it is, replace it with a new one to prevent leaks.
Step 3. Replace the drain bolt and torque it to 14 foot-pounds.
Step 4. Refill the transmission with AGL gearcase lube until the fluid begins to flow back out of the opening. The Polaris Sportsman 110 takes about 11.8 ounces to fill.
Step 5. Replace the fill cap, then clean up the overflow-affected area with some contact cleaner and you’re done.
