Using the Motion Pro Chain Alignment Tool

Step 1. Place the chain alignment tool over a link in the chain directly above the rear axle, then tighten the set screw on the alignment tool until it’s securely gripping the rear sprocket.

Step 2. Look along the alignment rod of the alignment tool to see if the chain is running parallel to the rod. If the chain angles outward or inward, the axle will need to be adjusted accordingly.
