Should I Re-jet My 2007 Honda TRX400?
Not sure if it’s time to re-jet a Honda ATV that’s more than a decade old? Pulling the spark plugs and inspecting them to see if the machine is running lean is a good place to start.
Partzilla’s Honda ATV expert John Talley hosts live Q&A sessions on our YouTube channel every Friday at 3pm Eastern. In this session, John was asked about re-jetting a 2007 Honda TRX400 ATV.
Honda TRX 400 Re-jet Q&A
Should I re-jet my 2007 TRX400EX, even with just a slip on exhaust?
John Talley: Let the machine tell you. I mean, is she still pulling through the whole range and pulling strong? Have you done a plug read to see if it’s trying to lean out, or maybe it could use a little bit more fuel? Put it in third gear, run her wide open and then do a hard cut on the ignition. Let it coast to a stop, then cool down a little bit and pull that plug to see what it looks like, do a plug read on it.
