What oil do you recommend for a Honda TRX 90?
John Talley: Standard GN-4. That’s what I would recommend. It’s a little machine that doesn’t need anything more or anything less than what it came with.

I have a brand new 2021 Honda Rancher 420 and the manual says to do an 80-90W oil change after two years, but I can only find here in Israel an 80W-85. Can I use it?
John Talley: I don’t think it’ll be a problem at all. As far as the compounding of it, make sure it matches the JASE specifications, but the weight difference shouldn’t hurt it at all. But hey, you’ve got two years to worry about that. You’ve got a brand new machine, but I like the fact that you’re actually reading through your manual and you’re going to take care of it, so kudos for that.

How do you change the oil on a Rancher 350?
John Talley: Well I know we have to have a video on how to do that. Really easy to do. Just make sure you don’t flip your oil filter in the wrong direction, and don’t forget to hold the spring in place. It has to keep a little pressure on that.
